About Bab-e-Peshawar:
The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) is set to develop an overpass on Jamrud-Hayatabad Road, Peshawar, which is named Bab-e-Peshawar Modern Flyover. The project will cost Rs 1.77 billion and the areas which will benefit from the project will include Hayatabad Town, Industrial State, Regi Model Town and Karkhano Market . This modern flyover at the confluence of Fata,Hayatabad, Karkhano Market, Industrial Estate and Regi Lalma Township would greatly contribute in removing traffic congestion on this busy highway and would also help in accelerating industrial, Commercial and economic activities. An agreement to this effect has also signed between Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and NLC wherein the latter will construct this high rise flyover complex in record period of three months with cost of Rs. 187740 million. A sum of Rs 580 million has been given to the NLC so far and 80 per cent work has been accomplished.
Construction:
Construction of the Bab-e-Peshawar flyover on Hayatabad-Jamrud Road will begin this week and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak will formally lay the foundation stone of the project on June 17.
Inauguration:
PESHAWAR, Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Senior Minister for LG&RD InayatUllah Khan Friday said Rs 1.70 billion mega project of Bab-e-Peshawar flyover at Phase-III Hayatabad in provincial metropolis would be completed by December 25 and to be inaugurated by January 1.

The Chief Minister said that the provincial government was giving special attention to resolve the problems of the people of Peshawar by developing the ancient city with the aim of restoring its past glory. “Today a visible change is being witnessed in Peshawar. It is a result of implementing the agenda of change”, he remarked. He remarked that over the past two years home work was carried in all the Districts across the province for the eradication of encroachments and interference of the “Qabza Mafia”. 13 parks have been rehabilitated by carrying out forestation on green belts and various main roads the construction and rehabilitation work of various internal city roads including the GT Road and Jamrud Road had been completed and the introduction of U-turns had considerably contributed towards improving the traffic flow in the city.
